CPS is sponsoring a season-long book drive - SHARE A STORY - in celebration of a season devoted to storytelling of all mediums. All books donated through this drive will be distributed to area school libraries. Community members are encouraged to bring in a new or gently used copy of their favorite book from a list of suggested genres. CPS will provide stickers to be placed in each book so community members can reflect on why they chose to donate and share that particular story.

Why are we doing it?
CPS wishes to celebrate the art of storytelling through a season of unique events. In promoting the importance of storytelling, literacy and the arts in education, we endeavor to be an advocate for the arts through awareness of educational need and community support.
When will it happen?
Share a Story Kick-Off Event: Sunday, October 21 at our public performance of David Gonzalez’s Sleeping Beauty. The book drive will continue through the end of the MTA season with the May 9th, the school performance of Animal Farm. CPS will accept donations at all GAS and MTA events, as well as during regular Box Office hours.
How will books be distributed?
In the weeks following the Animal Farm program, CPS will announce the donation recipients and will be in contact shortly afterward to distribute the donations.
