Snell Theater

The stage version of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast is based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature and includes all of the wonderful songs written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Menken and Tim Rice.

Beauty and the Beast will transport audiences to the heart of provincial life in a lovely French town. When Maurice becomes lost in the woods on the way to the fair, he seeks shelter in an old castle, but the master of the castle is a horrible beast that takes him captive. Maurice’s daughter, Belle, must then give up her freedom to save his life. Belle’s taming of the unfortunate Beast and his ultimate transformation back into a handsome prince enthralled Broadway audiences for over 13 years.

Parking Alert!

Please note: Due to heavy construction around Snell Theater, we strongly recommend you arrive early for the performances of Beauty and the Beast.

Parking can be found in the lot next to Snell Theater, in the lot near Hosmer Hall off Outer Main Street, and in the lot across from Raymond Hall (the administrative tower). In an effort to assist those with mobility challenges, golf cart shuttles will be provided from the parking lots to the front entrance of the theater. To find the golf cart pick-up stations, please look for the purple CPS balloons.

If you or someone in your party requires a wheel chair entrance, we ask that you please phone the Box Office in advance of the performance for special drop-off and parking instructions. The Box Office can be reached at 267-2277.
